In general, a compressive neuropathy is a disorder of the peripheral nervous system for which pain and/or disorders of the functions of the nerve (in terms of loss of mobility or sensibility) are characteristic of long-term pressure on the nerve.

However, the treatment must be complex, because the cause of the genesis of the ganglion is just the weakness of the tendon sheath or the joint capsule. A ganglion can reappear in 10% of cases even after surgery.

This arises due to a disproportion between the tendon of the finger flexor and the so-called ring band. The symptoms can vary in intensity - from diffracting the fingers to "snapping" the fingers to completely blocking the flexion of the fingers (grade 1-4). An unsuccessful conservative therapy (rest, days of splints, injections) requires surgery.
